 THE FEDERATION OF MASTER BUILDERS

 

 

The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is the UK's largest trade association in the building industry, with national offices in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, supported by additional regional offices. Establish in 1941 to protect the interests of small and medium-sized building firms, the FMB is independent and non-profit making, lobbying for both members interests at both national and local levels.

S.G Aluminium is registered as a member of the Federation of Master Builders. The company had agreed to work to the FMB code of Practice with the expressed aim;

THE NATIONAL EXAMINATION BOARD IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (NEBOSH)

 

 

The National Examination Board in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH) is an awarding body approved by Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) accreditation, which has a UK- wide regulatory remit. It offers a range of qualifications designed to meet health & safety, environmental & risk management needs of all places of work in both the public & private sectors.

FORS

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations. FORS helps fleet operators to measure and monitor performance and alter their operations in order to demonstrate best practice. It is open to operators of vans, lorries, mini-buses, coaches and other vehicles, and to the organisations that award contracts to those operators.
 

FORS Bronze accreditation confirms that a company employs good practices and complies with the requirements laid out by the FORS Standard. This includes demonstrating dedication to driver and vehicle safety, combined with improving operating practices through effective monitoring of fuel and tyre usage.
